Sebastián Macchi revisits Spinetta, Páez, and García
– In what sense do the divine and the profane unite the three of them?
– I believe each of them was able to unfold their own gift, and that belongs to the divine order — it is neither a product of the market nor a whim of the ego. Each, in their own way, planted a seed in our land connected to that source, and lifted their song to the heavens. Yet at the same time, that song was the expression of an intense journey through an intense world, brimming with humanity — with all the shit that entails, with all that is dirty or marginal.

"It is an overwhelming emotion to play this repertoire, which was like an atomic bomb of goodness. This music brings me inspiration and life because it shows the extraordinary level of popular music we have as a culture," said the musician in the midst of the inaugural trilogy, featuring songs from the early ’80s: “11 y 6”, which Fito recorded on Giros (1985); “Ojos de video tape”, a creation of Charly captured on Clics Modernos (1983); and “Águila de trueno”, which El Flaco immortalized on Kamikaze (1982).
From Folk Verse to Instrumental Improvisation, Sebastián Macchi Presents “Canciones últimas y otras cositas”
"I feel this is a beautiful opportunity for culture. It compels us to return to what is most primal: to gather, to set aside the screens, and to experience things together. Perhaps adverse times may even strengthen culture — from a circle where, by listening to music, something new can emerge."
“Piano Solito, Sebastián Macchi’s brand-new album, is one of those records that, once you let it play, invite you to remain there — attentive to every note with which it caresses the senses…”
“If the Bill Evans Trio were to reincarnate in the Paraná, it would sound with the cadence of this ensemble formed by Sebastián Macchi, Claudio Bolzani, and Fernando Silva.”
